The ever-evolving me

I was asleep last night by 11 p.m. Tomorrow marks one week since I've had any coffee. I eat less meat more vegetables and legumes. I've exercised three mornings in a row and tonight is my Will Power & Grace class. Last night, I also went to an orientation to become a volunteer with kids and people living with AIDS.
Yes, dear readers, this Mexicana is building some new healthier, happier habits!
My next hill to climb: finish writing my novel. I have a new plan — write one new chapter per week — that hopefully means I'll be done with a first draft by year end. Let's pray I can stay on track!
I like the ever-evolving me. It feels good to take action and work toward goals.
It seems like my heart, mind and psyche are finally in the right place to let progress happen. I can't say I know exactly how it happened, but I'm not going to worry about that too much for the time being.
I keep this up in the following weeks and months, I may be able to claim victory... or just keep fighting this battle called life.
